Smelled great, but that’s the only positive. It is supposed to be very concentrated, but I found it very thin compared to other shampoos I’ve used. My dog had fluffy hair and this was very hard to lather in and when rinsing left her hair feeling very dry. Afterwards I had to use a spray conditioner to even get the brush through when blowing dry and her hair was much more tangled than usual. I won’t be using it again.

I have a white Teddy Bear dog she is only 10 lbs. & I have tried every expensive & inexpensive whitening shampoo there is! This one far exceeded my expectations! I put some on each paw & rub it in really good. You will actually see while you are washing your dog the whitening effect. After the shampoo, I use Chi conditioner. I bought this based on the large number of reviews that were positive. I thought ok, maybe it’s a more gentle whitener I can use on my show dogs. It smells nice and works well as a shampoo.. but it will not actually fully whiten like a true whitening shampoo. If you’re looking to groom a show dog, this is not going to work well enough. Quicksilver or white ice is a better choice. If you’re just looking to shampoo a white dog and don’t need high standards, it’s not a bad product. It just doesn’t do what it says it will. It seems gentle enough and it’s fairly well priced.

I bought this for my Maltese girl named Gabby. It arrived the day before her grooming appointment so I took it along with the BioSilk Super Glossing Finishing Spray for the groomer to try out………both products are fantastic! The shampoo is very gentle and left her looking snow white. The finishing spray has a nice smell and left her hair soft and silky just as I had hoped. Seriously… blinding WHITE is what you get! 😎 I kid you not. I thought my little Maltese was very white, but after using this it’s unbelievable white. When I took her in the backyard in our bright Florida sunshine, I had to keep my sunglasses handy to look at her. What the heck is in this stuff? Amazing! I just ordered another bottle. Oh, it did not cause any allergic reactions etc. very gentle. I was as usual careful near her eyes and used a tearless there. Great stuff as is all CC.

My dog’s beard gets discolored, but I can’t use it there because there are too many potentially dangerous chemicals in it to use near the mouth. I didn’t realize that in the product description before I bought it–the toxicity. You are supposed to leave it on for ten minutes to work and that’s not going to work safely by the dogs mouth.

I bought this product and I used it on my dog he itched after the first use I thought it was because I didn’t wash off all the soap being you have to leave it on them for 5 minutes. I washed him the next weekend because the itching more. I cleaned off all the soap on the second use his itching got more intense and his skin was so red I had to purchase medicated anti-itch spray that cost me $13.00 to soothe his skin. My poor dog was in agony because of this shampoo and the worse thing is I can not get my money back.

I own an American Eskimo dog (lots of white, thick hair). John Paul’s Super Bright Shampoo is the best whitening shampoo I have found. It lathers well, is gentle on the hair and skin and rinses out completely. Also use John Paul’s conditioner after rinsing out shampoo.

I groom my dog myself and tried John Paul’s de-tangler. Was very impressed with the nice fragrance and especially the effectiveness of the spray to help work out tangles and mats in my dog’s long hair. Extra bonus: the fragrance calmed my pet when I did blow drying & other grooming.

I bought this for my Frenchie girl, Violette. She is a black and white pied. She was having some issues with tear stains as a puppy so was concerned for her coat and decided to buy this to prevent any yellowing. She also has really coarse hair(compared to my other frenchie). She has stayed as white as she was when she was born and after her baths her coat is soft and smells like cherries. Will be buying this for her from now on. Worth the price, the bottle has lasted us for several months now and she gets a bath once every two weeks unless she’s out getting into the mud and muck.
